N.C. pursues her passion of work with youth and outreach to traumatized children, which began in earnest November 2004 on her first trip to Kenya. Following in her family’s footsteps, N.C. first pursued aviation, attended the University of Colorado, and served in the U.S. military for six years. N.C. speaks of hope from a military officer, war widow, and child of an addict’s viewpoint on the challenges to persevere in service. N.C. earned a Masters Degree in International Education in Emergencies to combine a professional and academic background that help her provide culturally-appropriate care for children with disabilities and severe emotional needs. N.C. trusts in her Savior, Jesus Christ, as she currently works in the not-for-profit sector with at-risk adolescent girls in Alaska.
